This program is designed for adolescents ranging in age from 12-17. This program aims to help address and manage symptoms of mental health concerns and improve the patients’ overall well-being. They give children the resources and tools to develop healthy behaviors and positive thinking patterns.
This program is an option for adolescents struggling in school, in their community, or at home due to mental health challenges. Northlakes team claims that they provide them with undivided attention in individual and group therapy sessions along with a supportive, safe, and healing environment.

This program is designed for adults ages 18 and up who are struggling with one or more mental health disorders and require acute psychiatric care. Treatment plans provide patients with a team of counselors, social workers, nurses, psychiatrists, and mental health technicians to offer them the best care possible.
Treatment plans are individually developed for each patient’s specific needs, strengths, weaknesses, and objectives. Northlake also offers dual-diagnosis treatment for anyone facing co-occurring detox and mental health problems.
They use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, crisis intervention therapy, medication management, holistic therapy, and individual therapy sessions to help treat clients in their inpatient program.
Group and individualized therapy are necessary to a patient’s recovery process, and therapy sessions are led by licensed medical and social service staff members. Some of the topics addressed during therapy sessions are various coping mechanisms and management techniques to help them recover.
Adult Intensive Outpatient Program
In this program, patients will come to the facility for services several days per week and should expect to participate in group and individual therapy sessions. This allows patients to resume their regular daily schedules and other responsibilities outside of rehab, unlike their inpatient program.

Northlake Behavioral Health System Reviews
Northlake claims to be an option for anyone facing mental or behavioral issues or who happens to be battling an addiction to drugs or alcohol. They focus on treating their patients’ specific needs and offer a variety of treatment programs.
Their use of expressive therapy through music, artwork, animals, and horticulture is unique. However, reviews online seem to be primarily negative. Patients and family members alike seem to have had overwhelmingly poor experiences with the facility in general, the treatment of patients, the food provided, communication, and their staff members.
This is something to keep in mind if you, a loved one, or your children require professional help. We would rate Northlake a 3/10.
“I got there on a Friday night and left on a Monday morning. We did nothing but sit around and watch TV the entire time. I went to ONE therapy session the day I left. That was all. The boys were having to share a unit with the girls at that time due to construction. The only things separating the boys from us was a metal door which BROKE from them pounding on it almost constantly. The one and only thing this place taught me is that I never want to ask for help again, because this place did nothing but scare me.” ★
“This place is a joke. Their was no sports. Cold water for showers . Sit down and watch tv. bedtime at 10 pm. one group day Monday though Friday. No animals, no ping pong. no indivual theraphy. Their is no concern about the side effects of the medication that they put you on. I could not walk right without shaking because of the medication side effect. Get use to eat potatoes for nearly every meal. Grits, oatmeal or cereal for breakfast. Would not recommend anyone to go their. Their was nobody talking about their feelings. If not one hour of group eating 3 meals a day, taking a cold shower, listen to music or watch tv this is a typical day.i oh and by the way no soap for the shower is tyypical. with my stay.” ★
Northlake Behavioral Health System Patient Reviews | Mandeville, LA | Vitals.com
“Terrible place. This place left me with PTSD. Do NOT put your family member here. They will try and keep you as long as they can. Coroner writes a CEC for everyone no matter if your stable to leave. Some of the staff were helpful and nice. It was really nasty and unorganized. Doctor who didn’t even lay eyes on me put a false diagnosis that I’m having to get taken off my record so it won’t affect me long term. Not to mention i had to ask for my meds multiple times for them to finally give it to me! I can’t believe they aren’t shut down.”
