Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center Facility:
Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center is located at 11445 Reiger Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. It aims to provide patients with the best possible care and support, beginning from the first time they contact the center. The facility begins with an intake process that is designed to provide each patient with an efficient, stress-free experience.
The Intake Process
The center prefers to ensure that patients are able to prove they are aged 18 years or older and have been dependent on opioids for at least one year. Once the center is satisfied that clients have met these criteria, the next step in the process is to schedule an intake appointment. The facility asks that patients understand that this process will take between two and four hours. Patients must also provide valid identification in the form of a state-issued identification card, a driver’s license, or a United States passport. Patients must also bring a valid insurance card and documentation if they wish to pay for treatment using insurance. All patients must pay their intake fee during their initial appointment.
Unless pregnant or transferring from another program, patients are to arrive at the intake appointment in a state of withdrawal, with between 20 and 24 hours having passed since their most recent use. If transferring from another program, all necessary documentation must be shown to the center during the intake process.
During the intake appointment, patients will be required to complete the necessary paperwork and answer questions about their personal, medical, and treatment history. They will also be required to complete a physical exam, provide a urine sample for screening, and take a TB test unless proof of a previous, relevant TB test can be produced. Females will also be required to take a pregnancy test. If pregnant, females will need to sign a release of information form to ensure the center can coordinate appropriate care with the relevant OB/GYN.
The center may not be able to provide patients medication on their first day in the facility. This is because all decisions are made on a case-by-case basis by staff physicians.
Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center Program:
Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center provides patients with safe and effective medications and other interventions as part of its comprehensive treatment plan. The medications and their effects are as follows:
Methadone
Methadone is a synthetic opioid medication that stops the onset of withdrawal symptoms and cravings yet does not produce the high that other opioids do. Methadone is classified as an opioid agonist and can help patients overcome their opioid addictions.
Subutex
Subutex is effective at decreasing withdrawal symptoms and cravings by stopping the effects that opioids cause on the brain. Subutex is a partial opioid agonist-antagonist.
Suboxone
Suboxone consists of two ingredients, buprenorphine, and naloxone, and works to lessen the intensity of withdrawal symptoms as well as stop cravings for continued use. Withdrawal symptoms will occur if a patient abuses this medication.
Vivitrol
Vivitrol is an injectable medication used in the treatment of opioid addiction. It contains naltrexone and is a non-narcotic, non-addictive medication that the center administers once a month to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
Other treatments
Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center also offers both individual and group therapy as part of their overarching treatment plans.
Individual therapy sessions are made available to patients to help them work through their emotions and feelings surrounding their achievements and setbacks in recovery. Patients meet with a counselor in a private setting and receive the individual attention needed to overcome the obstacles they face during the therapeutic process.
Group therapy sessions are led by trained addiction counselors who help patients obtain support from other patients. Patients are encouraged to share their experiences in group therapy so that they can offer insight to one another.
Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center Staff:
Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center employs certified medical professionals and addiction specialists, including doctors, counselors, and nurses.
The center also employs a range of kitchen staff, including a chef and kitchen hands dedicated to providing patients with healthy, nutritional meals that will help them overcome their addictions.
Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center Pricing:
The pricing at Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center is similar to other facilities in the area, in that the cost of care varies according to the treatments being administered to each patient.
During the intake process, patients will have a confidential meeting with center staff prior to starting their treatment. This is to reduce financial-related stress regarding the cost of treatment. Staff will discuss all costs related to treatment with each patient and establish the methods by which patients will pay for the services they receive.
Patients will be able to pay for services with cash, money orders, or credit cards. They are not able to pay with a personal cheque or with a payment made over the phone. Patients intending to pay for their treatment with insurance must provide the center with all necessary documents to confirm their level of coverage and benefits before treatment begins.
As mentioned previously, patients are required to pay their intake fee in full during their initial intake appointment prior to receiving services.
The center encourages patients with questions about the cost of treatment, payment options, or any other aspect of care to contact them as soon as they are able. They are committed to providing patients with all the information they need and helping them take their first steps towards a life without dependence on opioids.
