Also called “detox,” this phase occurs prior to entering the Foundation Program. Medical Stabilization gives men and women a chance to cleanse their bodies of toxins and prepare mentally and emotionally for active rehab.
Not including detox, Elev8 patients spend 28 to 35 days in our live-in, primary care environment. This consists of 6-hours per day of group, didactic and family therapy, services. Excellent housing and nutritional programs support this dynamic clinical program that is grounded in the recovery of the entire person. Spirit, Mind and Body.
When people are in need of a structured setting in which to work toward overcoming symptoms of substance misuse, they may benefit from participating in Elev8’s Cornerstone program. An intensive outpatient program (IOP) that consists of 9-hours per week of group, family, and didactic services. Additionally, Elev8 case managers assist clients with setting their selves up for success when leaving the program by identifying each persons skill-set and assisting them with possible career/education opportunities.
Addiction is truly a family disease. Elev8 incorporates the family into the treatment process. Our clinical team educates family members about their loved one’s addiction, teaching them how to support recovery and seek their own treatment and support
The Family Program at Elev8 consists of a suite of services geared at addressing the needs and identified goals of family members and loved ones that have been impacted, directly or indirectly, by the substance use and associated issues of another person.
Systems adapt to dysfunction to maintain balance and avoid catastrophic failure. We change our behaviors based on what is happening to those around us in order to keep our lives on track. These changes are a natural and normal reaction. As difficulties pile up, our ways of coping become regular patterns. In this way, the substance use and co-occurring issues of one person change the way the entire system behaves, and create roles that are very difficult to alter. Imagine if this type of dynamic has been occurring for many years. Imagine if dysfunction was introduced to the system multiple generations ago.
Family Systems are extremely resilient, and with proper support and therapy, families do find happiness and balance that is not predicated on their loved one remaining abstinent from mood-altering substances. Additionally, families that enter their own therapeutic process learn effective ways to manage stress and crisis, and dramatically improve the chances of their loved one achieving long-term recovery from substance use disorders
